Websites are becoming more and more indispensable and are growing rapidly. In 2021, there are more than 1.8 billion websites in the world. This shows how the websites are important. However, not all websites are of equal value. In other words, some websites are more useful than others. In this article, we will show you which websites are the most useful nowadays.

Each Internet user has a specific need when he goes on the Internet. Depending on what you are looking for, one website may be more useful than another at that moment but the next day another one will be more useful. In this article, we won't try to rank the most useful websites. Instead, we will show the websites that are most useful to the majority of the population without a precise ranking.

Google

How to talk about the most useful websites without talking about Google. This website is not to be introduced anymore. It is so well known that it is the most visited website in the world. Google is, according to us, the most useful website in the world at the moment. You will probably ask me why? It's simply because you can find everything there. You can use Google to go to any website available on the web. For that, search engines (Google, Bing, Qwant and others) are in our opinion the most useful websites.

Wayback Machine

Even if it is not known as much as Google, Wayback machine is also very useful. As its name indicates, Wayback Machine allows us to go back in time. Indeed, it is a website that keeps all the archives of existing websites. On Wayback Machine, you will have access to all the old pages of a website, their designs, their contents etc. You will be able to see the evolution of a website over time and even find pages that have been deleted for example.

Deepl or Google Translate

Thanks to the Internet, the whole world is in communication. All countries exchange with each other. Sometimes the language can cause problems of understanding, since there are several languages in the world. To overcome this problem, there are websites such as DeepL and Google Translate that allow you to translate texts from one language to another. Thanks to these websites, you can read, write and chat in languages you don't understand.

Wikipedia

Wikipedia is one of the websites that should not be presented anymore. Created since 2001, this website is represented as the encyclopedia of the Internet. With millions of pages, Wikipedia allows you to learn many things from the etymology of a word, the history of a city, the biography of a famous person etc. Wikipedia is a very useful website to learn many things.

Coursera, Udemy or Open Classrooms

Coursera and Udemy are websites for learning new skills. Through these websites, you can train in a skill either to be more competitive in your field or in other fields that interest you. These websites offer complete courses to help you whatever your level is. At the end of your training, you will have a certificate proving that you have learned this new skill.

Facebook, Twitter

These are social networks that allow you to be close to your friends and family members. On Facebook and Twitter, you can be in contact with your circle and even make new acquaintances. These two websites are not to be presented anymore. Another advantage of these two networks is that they allow any company or public person to be in contact with its community and to share its news and other information with its community.

Youtube

This Google platform allows the sharing of videos of all types. Whether you want to be entertained, to learn, to train, to know the news, Youtube is the right place. We put it as a useful website, because it can also allow you to learn a lot of things thanks to the many tutorials and tips that you can find there. In addition, it can help you earn money if you are a content creator.

Here is a list of websites that we find useful. This is a non-exhaustive list, so it can be updated. Leave us a comment with your thoughts on which websites you think are useful.
