Use a tool like SEMRush or AhRef to analyze your competitors. These tools will allow you to highlight the keywords that competing websites that appear on the first page use the most.
Thus, you will know the search terms that generate traffic on their website. Analyze between 3 and 4 competitors maximum in your field of activity.
You can also do a Google search using the keywords of your services to identify which companies appear on the first page.
In an Excel file, list these companies and the link to their website. This will be useful later to evaluate and analyze their content.

Now that you know who your competitors are, it's time to find out which keywords and pages on their websites rank them best on Google and other search engines.
The important thing to remember here is that Google is not like you and me. Google is not a human being and therefore does not read content the same way we do.
The way Google positions your site will therefore depend heavily on what the algorithms (robots) will consider as relevant or not in your content.

Open the Excel file of keywords that you have previously created in the competitor analysis phase.
Analyze the content of each main page (home and services) of your best competitors and identify their keywords.
Tip: You can use tools and plugins like "wordtracker scout" to extract the keywords of these pages in just a few clicks.
Add in your file, the link of the pages of your competitors "to beat", this will allow you to optimize yours later.
Use tools like SemRush to get a more accurate comparison of your website's positioning against your competitors' according to your keywords on Semrush will also suggest new keywords, used by your competitors to improve their search engine positioning and their CPC (Cost Per Click). Add them to your keyword list.
To achieve a good SEO, you must prioritize the keywords that have:
A high CPC (cost per click). This indicates the value of the keyword; it is a sign that visitors are converting into customers)
Tip: For a start, choose 10 to 20 keywords to focus on and build from there. It is not necessary to choose many them or you will not be effective.
Google Analytics and Google Console are essential tools for successful SEO analysis and performance evaluation of your website. You should install them early in the process so that you can start tracking data that will be useful in the second month.

During this month, you will optimize the SEO content of your website's referring pages. This is also called On-Page SEO.
Simply put, On-Page SEO is the SEO of a page through a set of internal factors that make a website useful and relevant to the visitor.
This is an important step to determine and identify any potential problems with your website that could prevent Google from ranking you favorably and on the first page of online search results. You can use our free tool to successfully complete this exercise.
Most of the time, the SEO problems found are technical or textual. Take the time to evaluate them and plan the corrections. Some common examples are:
